Yuha's Nightmares. Episode One: Catastrophe

Yuha’s Nightmares is a nightmare simulator where you dive into Yuha’s dreams and explore her unconscious mind through the glitching flip-side of a 3D world. Inspired by real dreams with familiar themes — apocalypse, returning to a childhood home, disappearing stairs, and losing a voice — this game delivers a truly unsettling nightmare experience.

The first episode, «Catastrophe», focuses on the concept of home, its loss and finding a home in another dimension. In this episode, the creator explores her views on responsibility, relationships with parents and homeland, and attitudes toward possessions and material values — accumulating, letting go, and their virtualization.

The «flip side» of the 3D world and glitches

• The Wireframe World: explore Yuha's subconscious through a wireframe view, usually unavailable to players. You'll see through walls, observe the level's structure, and uncover the secrets of the main character through the mysteries of the game!
• Glitches are part of the world and gameplay. You're in for a unique experience: playing with altered fields of view, mismatches between the visible graphical layer and the physical dimension of the game environment, discrepancies between what seems real and what feels real, and getting stuck in textures

Gameplay

You'll need to quickly collect items, find your way out of the house, dodge bullets (or let them hit their target), find your cat among many others, and more. But the main objective is to understand the structure of this world and learn how to interact with it to complete the journey and uncover the full story.

Episode One: Catastophe

The game will be released episodically, with each episode focusing on a specific theme. The first episode, «Catastrophe», consists of over 20 dream-levels. Each dream is a separate adventure, but all the dreams are connected by a common storyline.
